CFI Canada applauds the action of the Norwegian government for its repeal of it’s archaic blasphemy law as reported by Sputnik International. The Government of Norway’s response to the Charlie Hebdo attacks is a leadership position which the Government of Canada must also adopt.
CFI Canada was a leader in the formation of the International Coalition Against Blasphemy Laws early in 2015 and continues to work toward the removal of Criminal Code Section 296, Canada’s blasphemous libel law.
