Last month we asked you about how the funding of Catholic Schools would influence your decision at the voting box. Thanks to everyone who took the time to answer.
Almost all of the respondents (94 percent) would at least consider this when making a decision and 59 percent of respondents would vote on this issue alone. Five percent of respondents would not consider this in making a decision on election day and three percent did not answer the question.
We also asked whether respondents lived in a province with publicly funded Catholic Schools. Two people (one each from British Columbia and Manitoba) reminded us that while other provinces do not fully fund Catholic school boards, they do provide funding to private schools which include Catholic schools. Overall, respondents from Saskatchewan felt the most strongly about this issue with 89 percent indicating that they would vote on this issue alone. Ontario had the fewest respondents, at 49 percent, indicating that they would vote on this issue alone.
Here’s the rest of the data.
How significant is this issue in deciding how to vote? (If you do not live in a province or territory with public funding for Catholic schools, how important would it be if you did?) | ||||

There should be NO funding for religious school
Let then sink or let them swim,,,,
Let them fund there own schools.
Religious schools should be funded by religious parents..
I’ve been wondering how many people care about this…figured it couldn’t just be me and some friends. I’m in saskatchewan. Would love to hear more about how to make a change to publicly funded religious schools. Love the petition for Ontario.
