CFIC needs a volunteer to edit and publish our Podcast for Inquiry. Every two weeks we release a new interview, where we challenge ideas and develop our thinking on fun and important topics.
We need somebody who can edit the tracks for both guest and host, then mix the interview into a final episode, and finally upload the audio and video files to our publishing platform. That means you have some editing experience and are willing and eager to learn. You also have a computer that’s powerful enough to handle multitrack video editing. And you have the time to spend a few days every month working with audio and video files, and communicating with the team.
Hundreds of people listen to each episode each week. We’ve had prestigious guests like MIT’s cognitive psychologist Steven Pinker and The X-Files’ Cigarette Smoking Man, William B. Davis. The show has been going strong for almost a year, and we need a champ with as much ambition as us as we take it to the next level. This is a good opportunity for somebody who wants to develop their media skills and put a powerful show on their resume.
We’re a serious crew of volunteers doing interesting work, and we’d love for you to join us. Experience is preferred, but we can do some training.
If you are interested in this or other CFIC volunteer opportunities please fill out a volunteer application form.
