Update from Omer (July 2021)

Years of stress have caught up with Omer. This past month, Omer suffered a heart attack requiring two rounds of angioplasty and insertion of stents. We are grateful to Amnesty International for funding these emergency procedures.

We are working with Omer’s sponsors, our friends at the Atheist Society of Calgary, to investigate whether there is any advocacy we can take on to expedite Omer’s interview with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada.

In spite of Omer’s health concerns, he remains in surprisingly good spirits. If you would like to make a donation in support of Omer you may do so here.
