In the comments, several people considered that, with the limited resources available on the planet, money and time would be better spent to feed, clothe, and house people in need. Many of those who support continuing exploration of space think that we should only be sending robots, not humans, out into the cosmos, perhaps something to think about as we approach the 62nd anniversary of the first human in space.
