We are warned by Vinay Menon that Tucker Carlson is in Canada this week and the haters are paying $300 to hear him trash our country and leader. This person who knowingly spouted lies about a stolen election to support a party that tried many times to skuttle Obamacare in the U.S. wants to liberate Canada from what? Its safety nets?
I am fed up with Canadian Tucker fans who are living comfortable lives yet want more for themselves and less for social programs like universal healthcare. I am also fed up with financially challenged Canadian Tucker fans who are convinced that giving the far-right power will improve their standard of living. It will make it worse, but hey … your anti-abortion, anti-vax, anti-immigrant, anti-Trudeau stance gets attention!
Menon mentions that Fox’s lawyers’ defence for Tucker was that he is in entertainment and no reasonable person would believe what he is saying. But they do.
Oppressed people in China, Iran, and Russia must be scratching their heads as they watch spoiled Canadians tie themselves in knots over a supposed Canadian dictator. When our recent inflation problems hit, my MP sent a flyer blaming this worldwide phenomenon on Trudeau. That was nonsense! Tucker is this same phenomenon on steroids, pretending to solve complex issues with simple-minded and depraved lies.
