The weekend of April 29 and 30, the Ontario Humanist Society (OHS) will be holding a live conference at the Hampton Inn and Suites, in Barrie, Ontario. The conference will explore issues and ideas including the following.
“Humanists Solve” — an interactive discussion about the issues of greatest importance to humanists and ideas for making the world a better place.
“Truth; How the Indian Residential System Broke.” OHS member Tibby Johnson will discuss the lasting impact of the residential school system and provide ideas for how humanists can help with reconciliation.
“Why Choose Humanism?” Humanists from across Ontario — including Jacques Babin, Kerry Bowser, Sandra Dunham, Barbara Rowlandson, and Richard Thain — will participate in a panel discussion about humanism and the big humanist issues of the day.
“Solo Journeys in the Wild” — author and professional speaker Adam Shoalts will share some of his experiences traveling solo in Canada’s Arctic.
#FillYourLife. We all know that this is the only life we have. #FillYourLife is OHS’s campaign to share the ways that humanists fill their lives. Join us for this interactive discussion. The conference is available in person and virtually.
Only 50 tickets are available for in-person attendance. Sign up here.
