Help champion a cause that reflects the core of our shared humanist values!
April 15, 2025, is the tenth anniversary of the Supreme Court of Canada’s decision in MLQ v Saguenay, which found prayers at municipal council meetings to be an unconstitutional breach of the state’s duty of religious neutrality. To mark the occasion, the BC Humanist Association is calling on municipalities across Canada to proclaim the day as “Religious Neutrality Day.”
We need your support to make this vision a reality.
Use the BCHA’s tool to email your local council and ask them to make the proclamation.
By advocating for religious neutrality, we’re promoting inclusivity and safeguarding the rights of those from diverse religious and non-religious backgrounds. Please stand with us in this movement and help create a society where freedom of thought and expression are truly celebrated.
