Flagpole is Hardly the Biggest Waste

Posted on May 30, 2021June 18, 2021 By Critical Links

Ottawa Catholic School Board trustee Glen Armstrong has concerns about the rainbow Pride flag motion being rushed through, and tweets out a comment from a parent on flagpole costs: “I am opposed to my taxes being used to fund such an ongoing, unnecessary expense.”

This article originally appeared as a letter to the editor in the May 27 edition of the Ottawa Citizen. For more information about the costs of publicly funded religious education, check out Civil Rights in Public Education.
