Okanagan – Kids for Inquiry Summer Special: The Bug Guys (and Reptiles too)!
Join CFI Okanagan’s Kids for Inquiry and The Bug Guys for a special summer event! We will learn all about some amazing bugs and reptiles! You will also have an opportunity after the presentation to meet some of the animals up close and personal! Are you brave enough to touch a ball python? Or what about holding Tina the bearded dragon?
Space is very limited, so we highly recommend getting tickets in advance. Tickets are free, with a suggested $5 donation per child. If there is space, tickets will also be available at the door. RSVPs on Facebook and Meetup do not guarantee a ticket. Please get tickets at Eventbrite:

“The Bug Guys” is a small non-profit organization committed to educating young people and people young at heart about the world’s most misunderstood creatures; insects, arachnids and of course reptiles. Stuart Brown (The Bug Guy) has always had a love for almost anything creepy crawly and could never understand why so many people hate them until he realized it was simply because people never really got to know them properly, and so with each presentation a few more kids and adults learn to love some of the most “unlovable” critters as much as Stuart does.
In the presentation you will meet some of Stuart’s private collection and pets and enjoy hands on experience with some of his very friendly lizards and snakes. You will learn about each species relationship with other animals in its family, the natural history and behavior of the species and their role in the pet trade, as well as the care of the animals and whether they make good pets or not. The main goal of every presentation is put myths about these wonderful animals to rest and hopefully putting aside a few phobias so the animals can be appreciated for what they truly are; nothing short of amazing!
After we’ve said goodbye to Stuart and the animals, please join Kids for Inquiry outside for a family picnic (bring your own food!).
