Okanagan – KFI: It’s a Small World

Join Kids for Inquiry for a program at the Okanagan Science Centre in Vernon!

The program starts at 10am, using pond water that the science centre staff will have already collected. If your kids would like to collect their own pond water, you can either bring some from home or arrive early to collect some from the pond in Polson Park, just behind the science centre. Remember to bring a small, clean jar (with a lid!) if you want to collect your own pond water.

During the program, kids will prepare slides with the pond water, and look at all the teeny tiny living things under microscopes.

The cost is $5 per child, and includes the one hour program and one hour in the museum. (If you would like to stay longer, you need either a membership, or to pay for admission.)

Cost for adults: It is the Science Centre’s policy for their programs that one adult per five children is free. There is a charge of $5 for each additional adult (unless the adults have memberships, in which case they are free). CFI Okanagan will cover the cost for additional adults who accompany their children. When you pay the front desk staff, please let them know whether you plan to drop off your child(ren) or stay with them and if you have a membership or not. Thank you!
