CFIC T.O. – Silence of the Labs: Documentary Screening & Panel Discussion
January 27, 2015 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm

Centre for Inquiry Canada – Toronto branch is co-hosting an event with the U of T School of Public Policy. There will be a screening of the CBC Fifth Estate documentary called “Silence of the Labs” followed by a panel discussion.
This documentary highlights the ongoing challenges facing scientists and researchers as a result of federal budget cuts, presented by Evidence for Democracy. In the past five years, hundreds of Canadian scientists have been forced to discontinue their work as a result of lack of funding. The result is less informed policy making and potentially severe issues overlooked or misunderstood.
