The Emerging Geopolitical World Order: How Is It Different, and How Should It Be Shaped?
At the recent Davos forum, Mark Carney declared that the existing world order has ruptured, and he outlined his vision for a new one. In this emerging framework, middle powers would work together to counterbalance and limit the global dominance of Russia, China, and the United States. Carney emphasized economic cooperation, pragmatism, and—importantly—respect for basic human and civic rights.
At our next Town Hall meeting on 15 February 2026, we will explore this proposed new order: how it differs from the current system, whether it is likely to materialize, and what challenges and risks it presents.
Please join the discussion via Zoom at 8:00 p.m. EST on 15 February 2026.
