It is increasingly difficult to continue to say that we have little news from Nepal. For Omer, the wait has become increasingly frustrating as well. There is little he or anyone else can do to expedite the situation. Our friends at Rocky Mountain Atheists (formerly Atheist Society of Calgary) continue to plan and wait for Omer. They also continue to give generously to ensure that he is supported. They have hired a lawyer to correspond with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). Although the lawyer has had no more success than anyone else at reaching a live body at IRCC, there is hope that this contact may spur the bureaucracy to take action.
We continue to thank Omer’s supporters for doing what they can. We know we will eventually have good news to deliver but we are not sure when this will happen.
