Omer continues to wait in Nepal. The Rocky Mountain Atheists (Omer’s Canadian sponsors) and CFIC continue to support Omer financially and emotionally, and to do what we can to get more news. Omer has let us know that none of the refugees in Nepal who have been accepted to Canada have been able to leave.
Omer is trying to fill his time, going on hikes and “trying to keep my mind calm during extreme frustrating times.” He’s justifiably proud that in spite of (or perhaps because of) his trying situation, he has become the first Pakistani Atheist YouTuber to reach 100,000 subscribers. (He has an Urdu YouTube channel where he promotes secularism.)
As we close out 2023, CFIC and Omer offer our sincere thanks to all of you who support him.
