Our Readers’ Experiences With E-cars

Posted on December 26, 2022February 2, 2023 By Critical Links 1 Comment on Our Readers’ Experiences With E-cars

Thank you to all who completed our first online survey. We received 38 responses. The majority of respondents appear to be pro-electric vehicle. Eight currently own an E-vehicle, five are waiting for one, one plans to order one, and 10 wish that they owned one. Many E-car owners commented on how much they love their electric vehicles (“I love my EV and am never going back to gas”). Three respondents own a hybrid vehicle.

Eight respondents indicated that they would continue to drive gas-powered vehicles. Most of these responses included comments about why they would not own an E-car, including questioning the environmental value of E-vehicles and expressing practical concerns, such as a lack of towing capacity and/or a lack of range. One commenter rightly criticized the survey format, indicating that while they would like to own an E-vehicle, they will continue to drive their gas vehicle which is still working.

Congratulations to the four respondents who are making the most environmentally friendly choice of all, not owning a vehicle!

Thanks to all who participated in last month’s survey.

This month’s survey looks at how and whether our readers celebrated the December holidays.
