Last June, we brought you news of the One Public Education Now (OPEN) lawsuit against the Province of Ontario, arguing that the funding of Catholic School boards violates s.15(1) of the Charter of Rights. In that article we let you know that there would be a hearing to decide on the Attorney General’s motion to strike on November 15. That hearing has been postponed until November 25. The results of this hearing will be too late to include in our December Critical Links. However, we are committed to including information about that motion as soon as we can. Please watch for more information on the CFIC website and in January 2023 Critical Links.
