Posted on July 21, 2015July 23, 2015 By NED

Institute of Holistic Nutrition

A CFIC member has advised us of submitting a complaint to Ontario’s Minister of Training, Colleges and Universities regarding the Institute of Holistic Nutrition.  This organization has locations in Ontario and British Columbia – and carries registration with BC’s PCTIA.  IHN charges $6,690 in Ontario and states on their website that:

IHN’s Diploma in Applied Holistic Nutrition is recognized and approved by the Certified Nutritional Practitioners Council of Canada (CNPCC) and The International Organization of Nutritional Consultants (IONC). The designation CNP is earned exclusively by graduates of IHN. Upon graduation, application for registration will be provided for submission to CNPCC & IONC. The designation RNCP/ROHP is governed by the IONC and graduates of IHN are fully qualified, with no further examinations, to receive the RNCP/ROHP designation.

Courses and education listed on February 9, 20115 on the IHN website included:

  • Clinical Iridology in Professional Practice
  • Practical Iridology Intensive
  • Ayurvedic Studies Program & Advanced Ayurvedic Psychology
  • Homeopathy for Beginners
  • Herbal Pharmacology & Plant Based Medicine Making Intensive
  • Applied Endocrinology

Further Inquiry

Our member  has indicated that there are also links to a procedure known as live blood cell microscopy and was kind enough to provide us with the following references:

CFI Canada is very concerned about the incursion of pseudo-science in medicine and medical education….do you have similar concerns about pseudo-science in the medicine?  Get involved or make a donation to help us in this inquiry!
