CFIC’s Ottawa branch and Humanist Ottawa had, again this year, a joint entry in the Fierté Capitale Pride Parade. Our “STOP FAITH-BASED BIGOTRY” signs received enthusiastic cheering and applause along the length of the parade route. One woman introduced herself as an atheist and asked if she could attend our next event. Another shouted, “Well done Humanist Ottawa!”, and another ran up to one of our marchers to give a high five shouting, “Thank you, thank you, thank you!”
