Stop faith-based bigotry

CFI Saskatoon at Pride Festival

CFI Canada has been a long-time supporter of LGBT rights, and a participant in pride parades across the nation. CFI Saskatoon has walked in the Saskatoon Pride Parade since 2012. Join us next year to show your support! In 2012, we also sponsored a Saskatoon Pride Festival event with Nate Phelps, the estranged son of “God Hates Fags” Westboro Baptist Church leader Fred Phelps.

Our motto, “Stop faith-based bigotry,” was created by CFI Ottawa and is a reminder that most of the barriers held up against LGBT equality are religiously motivated. An example is the recent battles to get publicly funded Catholic schools to allow GSA (Gay-Straight Alliance) clubs.
