Want to support CFIC but hate PayPal?

Sandra Dunham

Some of our supporters object to PayPal because it is an American company, or for other reasons related to data, security, or customer service. CFIC continues to use PayPal because we still have many supporters for whom this is the preferred way of sending us money. CFIC seeks to maximize our income in order to maximize our impact, so we will continue to welcome donations via PayPal – If you love PayPal, please continue to give this way.

However, if you are a subscriber who prefers not to use PayPal please don’t let that stop you from giving! CFIC also accepts donations (one-time or monthly) and membership payments through Canada Helps and via etransfer (send to etransfer@Centreforinquiry.ca), and, of course, by means of the old-fashioned cheque (mail to PO Box 83045, Ottawa RPO Bank Walkley, ON K1V 1A3)

Many (not all) banks allow you to select monthly or annual payments (I use this feature). If your bank does not allow this, we can “request” an etransfer. You still have control over whether or not to give, but this makes it more convenient and easier for you to remember, which is obviously good for us! This ensures that you never forget to renew your membership, or to make your monthly gift.

Canada Helps is another good way to give and they offer a monthly option. You can also elect to pay your annual membership fee through Canada Helps. Please note when using this option that Canada Helps may automatically ask for an additional donation to them when completing a transaction. If you prefer not to give this extra amount, make sure to uncheck this option before clicking “done.”

However you choose to give, CFIC appreciates your support. We know you have lots of options when it comes to charities. We thank you for choosing us!
