Omer enjoyed an outing this month. With little to occupy his time, he eagerly anticipated a visit to the tea gardens in Nepal. And he had an optimistic message for us.
“Saying hello to my home from tea gardens in Nepal. I may not have Canadian residency or passport yet, but I am happy that Canada has acknowledged and accepted me as a permanent resident. A country which believes in and accepts freedom of speech, and a country which endorses and implements secular values will always be ‘my country’. Thank you, Canada and Canadians. Can’t wait to be there.”
And we can’t wait to have you, Omer!
I’m glad that Omer is making some progress. I hope he will be enjoying Calgary before too long.
