Presentation – Why Tolerate Religion? (Saskatoon)

June 23, 2013 @ 11:30 am - 2:00 pm
Free

WhyTolerateReligionUniversity of Chicago philosopher and legal scholar, Brian Leiter, recently published an argument against allowing a special status for religious claims of conscience, under the title of Why Tolerate Religion? He discusses the ideas of toleration and respect for others’ beliefs and whether these can support special claims for religious beliefs. Our resident Philosophy lecturer, George Williamson, will walk the group through the argument of the book.

Please note: our monthly CFI Saskatoon Meetups are free to attend. You are not required to order any food or drink. If you do order something, please remember to tip the waitress because they have a lot to keep track of with our group, and they work around our table arrangements and presentation equipment.
