October is Women’s History Month – an opportunity to reflect on the work still ahead to remove barriers so everyone can participate fully in Canada’s social, cultural, and economic life.
October 11 is the UN’s International Day of the Girl Child, and October 18, Persons Day, commemorates the day in 1929 when Canadian women were first included in the legal definition of “persons”.
