Building on this incredible story\, this talk will bring to light the physical danger\, censorship\, ostracism and other challenges faced by secular and atheist Muslims\, including those residing in the West. Dr. Rizvi will also dissect the term “Islamophobia” and speak about the need for one to be able to criticize Islam\, without resorting to anti-Muslim bigotry. There will be a booksigning following the talk. Copies of The Atheist Muslim are available for pre-order with your ticket purchase; a limited number will be available for sale at the event. \nSee http://centreforinquiry.ca/the-atheist-muslim-ali-rizvi-in-ottawa/ URL:https://centreforinquiry.ca/event/the-atheist-muslim-ali-rizvi/ LOCATION:Centrepointe Chamber Theatre\, 101 Centrepointe Dr\, Ottawa\, ON\, Canada END:VEVENT BEGIN:VEVENT DTSTART;TZID=America/Toronto:20170326T140000 DTEND;TZID=America/Toronto:20170326T150000 DTSTAMP:20170322T001906Z CREATED:20170322T000104Z LAST-MODIFIED:20170322T001906Z UID:7930-1490536800-1490540400@centreforinquiry.ca SUMMARY:CFI Ottawa - Secular Chat DESCRIPTION:Secular Chat is an informal weekly discussion group for atheists\,\nagnostics\, humanists\, skeptics\, and other free-thinkers in the National\nCapital Region. \nHosted by the Centre for Inquiry (CFI)\, Secular Chat meets every Sunday from 2:00 to 3:00 pm in the upstairs back room at the Fox & Feather Pub on Elgin at MacLaren.
