SUMMARY:Okanagan - Kids for Inquiry: Chiller
DESCRIPTION:Dr Janice Snyder\, professor of psychology at UBC-Okanagan\, will give a presentation on the science of attention and focus. (If you haven’t already done so\, don’t tell your kids about the gorilla in the basketball game!)\nShe will then lead the kids in a guided meditation\, practising the art of attention\, as well as relaxation. \nThis activity can contribute to your child’s “Chiller” patch at DIY.org.https://diy.org/skills/chiller \nBecause this event involves a presentation and meditation\, it is recommended for kids age 8 and older. If your child is unable to be fairly still and quiet\, please take them to the park rather than to this KFI gathering. 😉 \nEach child should bring a comfy cushion to sit on! \nMore details to follow. \nThe RSVP list on Meetup will be taken as definitive: \nhttp://www.meetup.com/Kids-for-Inquiry-Okanagan/events/186927682/?a=ea1_grp&rv=ea1&_af_eid=186927682&_af=event
