Budd Hall is one of Canada’s leading specialists in the field of community university engagement. His talk will review developments in Canada and at the University of Victoria in the field of community-university engagement. His talk will cover various dimensions of community-university engagement: Outreach of what is called Open Science, engaged learning where students learn through engagement in community organizations and community-based research where community knowledge is combined with academic knowledge to respond to community originated challenges.
